This includes any verbal, non-verbal, or physical act aimed at another person which is considered harassment, intimidation, or hate.

Anyone breaking our Code of Conduct will face immediate dismissal from the event and may not be invited again in the future. We reserve the right to modify this Code of Conduct at any time.

Zero-Tolerance for Harassment, Intimidation, or Hate

We do not tolerate any kinds of harassment, intimidation or hate at our event. Harassment includes, amongst other behavior, offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.

State of Statecraft is Chatham House (TLP:RED) By Default

Chatham House is defined as “When a meeting, or part thereof, is held under the Chatham House Rule, participants are free to use the information received, but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker(s), nor that of any other participant, may be revealed.” We further this rule by imposing the following requirements:  Always ask for consent by the sharing party (speaker, attendee, staff, etc) for use, release, or mention of information.

No Photography, Recordings, or Posting to Social Media During the Event

In order to facilitate a trusted and collaborative environment, State of Statecraft is off-the-record by default. We will not take your photo or record a talk during the event or during our evening mixer. We extend this rule to all of our guests in attendance.

  • No photographs or digital/video recordings of any kind may be taken unless a speaker or attendee has explicitly consented to this practice.

  • Absolutely no posting of content, comments, or any derivative information from our conference to social media during or after the event. This includes practices commonly referred to as “Live Tweeting.”
